Logging calls and sending them to an email for archiving is what I use Boldbeast for. I found the format AMR sufficient for my needs but there is a problem outside Boldbeast control I'm trying to find a solution to.
Checking the archived Name_YYYYMMDDHHmmss.amr files within Gmail is a nag. I've searched and I can't find a plugin for either the Gmail web-application or the browser Chrome for inline playback of *.amr files. Gmail got native support for mp3 playback (a remain from some Google-talk voice-mail labs..) in the form of a [Play]-button. AMR is out of reach and the only way seem to be downloading the actual file.
Perhaps I'm missing a setting or tweak - I doubt that. Either way the playback must work on whatever computer I'm currently on - hence the use of the gmail web-application.
Any developer out there that's up for the challenge?
I bet I'm not the only one requesting this!
