I just realized that as of 1/24/2018, Android BoldBeast stopped recording calls, incoming and outgoing. I have a non-rooted phone that worked great (WAV format) going back to 11/2016 (v7.1 OS). I'm now on 8.1.0 and the Jan 5 update did not cause this.

I do not want to root my phone. After all, everything worked like a charm until 1/24. It worked with bluetooth (headset and car stereo). I could turn speakerphone on and off and it wasn't affected.

Everything I've read said that it shouldn't have worked with a Pixel XL unless it was rooted. It wasn't and I don't really want to root it. My wife has a Pixel XL and it also stopped working for her. I turned off WiFi calling just to be sure that wasn't the problem and it still fails.

Other info. I'm running ProtonVPN about 99% of the time (home and away) but that was installed before the problem occurred.

My carrier is Project Fi (Sprint or T-Mobile).

About the call recording problem please see [001] and [002] in this page http://www.boldbeast.com/android/call_r … oting.html to know how to fix it.

If the problem is still there please click "Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Ask New Parameters" in Boldbeast Recorder to send log files to me, let me have a look at them and see what happened in your phone. Thanks.
