Hello,
I am trying to record audio via Boldbeast on my Android, then upload the audio files to my Dropbox account so I can then pull them up on my Dropbox account on my laptop so that I can edit the recordings (I am a budding reporter). My problem is this: Once I drop the audio from Boldbeast into Dropbox and then try to listen to the audio recording, I keep getting an error message telling me that the file cannot be opened and to download an app that can open this file.

I thought that Boldbeast IS the app I would be using to open the file inside of Dropbox.
Can someone give me some direction on how to do this? Thank you for your time.

Because the files are saved in your Dropbox drive, when you click a file on the Dropbox page the Dropbox server opens the file and sends sound stream to your computer / tablet / phone,  so you can hear the sound.

I have just tested it. Dropbox can directly stream WAV files, but can't stream 3GP, MP4 and AMR files. This is determined by the Dropbox server, not by an app. In other words, Dropbox can directly play back WAV files without downloading them, just click and listen. For other files you should download them to your computer / tablet / phone and use the local player to play back them.
