My system was working just fine till I upgraded it to android 11. Now it is still working just fine except it cannot find any recordings before the upgrade. Where are they?
No, your recordings are not lost. Actually they are still there.
On Android 10 by default your recordings were saved in the folder "/sdcard/com.boldbeast.recorder". After upgrading to Android 11 the app is no longer allowed to visit the folder, unless you
- change "App Settings - Clip Saving Drive" to SAF (Storage Access Framework).
- tap "App Settings - Clip Saving Folder" to choose the folder.
The app can't do it for you automatically. You must choose the folder manually. This way Android 11 will allow the app to visit the folder, because Android 11 requires "the user must participate in the process", to guarantee the user is aware of the folder access permission.
