Boldbeast Software → Boldbeast Call Recorder → Xiaomi Mi A1 Call Recorder
Boldbeast Call Recorder worked perfectly on my Xiaomi Mi A1 until Android 8.1. But since the recent upgrade to Android 9 it is not working anymore. I tried all record modes, but none work (some record silence).
Is there any hope it can be fixed? (I am running unrooted.)

Android 8 Oreo and Android 7 Nougat works great, just install Boldbeast Recorder and go, recorded calls are crystal clear.

Android 9 Pie disabled the call recording feature. Your own voice is good but the caller's voice is very weak in recordings. No matter what recorder you are using in the market the result is the same. You can test and confirm this fact.
Boldbeast Recorder can fix the problem perfectly if you root the phone.
After root the phone please use these settings to record calls:
- Record Mode: Alsa
- Alsa Device: Auto
- Alsa Bits: 16 Bits
- Alsa Channels: Auto
- Alsa Sampling Rate: 48000
- Fix Recording Issues - Change Audio Controls:
Now you'll get recordings loud and clear in both sides.

In some market areas Xiaomi enabled the call recording feature in Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 9. In this case no root needed, just install Boldbeast Recorder and go, recorded calls are crystal clear.

A Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 9.0 user figured out following settings in Boldbeast Recorder record calls very well:
- Record Mode: 12
- Fix Recording Issues - Tune Audio Route: Group1
No root needed, recordings are very good.
The user is in Italy. Don't know if it works or not in other countries. Feedback are welcomed.

So I'm afraid you should root the phone to fix the problem.
I am rooted and have also installed and enabled "Call Recording Fix" magisk module by Boldbeast but call recording is still not working. Here is what I have tried.
I selected Alsa device0 since recording wasn't starting on Auto and Alsa Device(1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
Record Mode is Alsa Mode(Root).
Call recording starts on pressing record button after dialing but it doesn't stop automatically after call ending.
I also tried to manually end recording after opening app and pressing Red button but it still doesn't stop.
I don't find recorded calls in "Call list" screen.
What should I do?
Can you please click "Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Ask New Parameters" in Boldbeast Recorder to send log files to me? Let me have a look at them and see what happened in your phone. Thanks.
