I have a MotoX gen 2 and do not see suggested settings for it.  I have tried record modes 1, 2, and 5 as they are suggested for other Moto X phones, but either get local (me) recorded only or no recording at all and in some modes it messes with my ability to answer an incoming call.

I'm on Android 5.1.  The settings in the instructions given result in recording the near end and only when the record button is pushed.  No automatic recording and no record of the far side of the conversation.  Is there anything else I can try?

=> In this case you should root the phone, then Boldbeast Recorder can fix it perfectly. Without root there is no solution in the market for your phone.

No automatic recording and no record of the far side of the conversation.
=> If you need the "auto record calls" feature please upgrade the app to the pro version.
