1. I purchased Boldbeast Pro just now and then tested different Record Modes.

For the tests, I used my LG G2 F320K on CyanogenMod 13 (Android 6.0.1) to make calls to my home phone, which I answered and I said things on my home phone side.

As it turns out, Record Modes 7, 12 & 14 were barely acceptable, but the volume was still not loud enough (i.e. My recorded voice was very weak.).

2. So I went on to try out the Rooted Options. I changed Audio Controls and the Audio Driver, and started to try Record Modes 21 through 34 as well as the Alsa Mode.

None of the rooted Record Mode worked at all, and my phone started to act erratically.
I had to kill my Phone app and Boldbeast a few times during the tests.

Eventually, I figured I had it enough. So I rebooted the phone and disabled the Rooted Options entirely.

3. Now, NONE of the Record Modes (7, 12, 14) works AT ALL. Maybe it was the Audio Driver replaced in 2. above that broke something??

Maybe I need to restore the broken Audio Driver using the TWRP recovery or something like that.

Would look into this issue as soon as possible, please?

p.s.

4. I emailed hardware_logs.zip half an hour ago.

5. I didn't really want to use a custom ROM, but I had no choice due to the infamous android.process.acore error, which plagues KK and LP devices and made my G2 practically unusable ( https://goo.gl/FV8UeM ).

And CM13 was just about the only option available to use Marshmallow on G2.

Since the move to CM13, though, the phone has been way more responsive and everything works with no glitches, except for this issue.

A follow up:

I just got a reply from Boldbeast. Thank you for the very responsive support!!

> Boldbeast Recorder never change any built-in files in your ROM, it's 100% safe, so nothing need to "restore".

> Please use these settings to record calls:

> - Record Mode: 1
> - Tune Audio Effect: No
> - Tune Audio Route: Group3
> - Change Audio Controls: Yes
> - Change Audio Driver: No
> - Start Input Stream: test Yes and No

All right, I'll try the above.

I ran a few more tests using the settings suggested in the email reply from Boldbeast and here are results:

1. Start Input Stream: Yes - Not working and the phone refused to hang up. It works with the option turned off, though.

2. Record Mode 1 does work, but the voice is much reverberated, as if in a large, tiled bath house.

3. Record Mode 7 is the most acceptable, with no noticeable reverberation, but the volume level is still not enough.
But I guess I'll have to live with that.

Thank you for your feedback. You said enabling the "Start Input Stream" option making the call not be able to be hung up - this indicates the built-in MediaServer crashed.

So you have the same problem described in the post #19 of the topic CM13 Call Recording. Many CM13 ROMs have this problem, see the post #24 in the same topic.
