I am currently using a Huawei Ascend Mate 2, I installed the call recorder but I am having issues recording on Bluetooth. When on Bluetooth I am only able to record my end of the conversation, the other end of the conversation is very muted and almost non audible. Regular recording works well.

Can someone give me some recommended settings for this phone? The phone is rooted.

Also, I am planning on replacing my phone in the next few months and I am considering the LG Stylo II Plus. Will the app work on this phone out of the box or would it need to be rooted?

Huawei Mate 2 uses the Qualcomm MSM8226 chipset, there is a bug in the audio driver related to bluetooth recording inside the ROM. Boldbeast Recorder can fix the problem. Please root your phone, enable the "Change Audio Control" option in the app, then you'll record calls perfectly in two directions via bluetooth. The option is visible only after you root the phone.

LG Stylo II Plus uses the Qualcomm MSM8937 chipset, no root needed for normal call recording. We have no feedback from users about bluetooth recording so far, if bluetooth has problems Boldbeast can fix it in the same way as Huawei Mate 2 (root needed).
