How can we hide the recording notification during the call. The "Recording Indicator" option is not highlighted under App Settings. so i cannot uncheck the same. Since the recording button is a bright red, it is easily visible that i am recording a conversation.

The recording service is a background process in Android system. A service should let the user knowing that the service is running, otherwise Android will kill the service when it think it should (for example when available memory is low), as a result some calls may not be recorded.
Enabling the Recording Indicator in Boldbeast Recorder tells Android that "as the user I know the service is running and I need it running", then the system knows "The recorder is important to the user, I'll not kill it. Instead I'll kill other apps that are not important to the user at this moment". For this reason from V8.0 the Recording Indicator is always enabled.
After the recording is ended the Recording Indicator will disappear, Boldbeast Recorder releases all resources occupied and go to sleep.
Thanks for the reply. I understand and I completely agree with you. My request was that if the end user could be given the flexibility of choosing to make it disappear after pressing the recording indicator, with the risk being entirely the users whether the conversation gets recorded or not. If not this, then is it possible to move this to the notification bar at the top of the screen which will show that the service is active (and i don't mean moving the indicator there with the finger).
Also, if i select the any of the 4 options under "Indicator Icon", the size of the icon still does not change but remains the same. Please help if the size of the indicator can at least be made smaller.
Please don't treat my concerns are complaints. I love your app and i am using it own my phone. Its just that when you handover your phone to someone else and you want to record the conversation between that person and the person at the other end, it is not possible with the indicator.
You can change the Recording Indicator icon size to the tiny size, or even transparent icon.
I just tested, it works perfectly. Don't know why you said "the size of the icon still does not change", please test again.

Recording Indicator is not the in-call button.
If you want to hide the in-call button (the red button) please disable the "Call Settings - Manually Record Calls - Button In Call" option.

Either way, i still need to be able to deactivate the indicator icon when i do wish. I understand your reasons for enabling it fully but i still think that the user deserves the right to allow indicator icon to show or not. It should be made a choice and not mandatory. So I kindly request that you work on that.

I checked log files from users before Boldbeast Recorder V8.0 that can disable the Recording Indicator, in some phones 20% calls were not recorded, in some phones even 80% calls were not recorded because of the reason described in post #2 above. Usually users didn't know the reason, they missed many important calls. So the Recording Indicator must be displayed.

The indicator icon can be changed, please click the option "Standby Indicator Icon" and "Recording Indicator Icon" in the app to change them if needed.

Иконку в трее я убрал, но ее размеры "normal, small, tiny или transparent" не изменяются при их выборе в меню программы.
