I recently discovered the Boldbeast call recorder, and have been very happy with it.  So far, it's the only call recorder that works for the LG LS660 (Tribute) and LG LS665 (Tribute 2) Sprint prepaid phones.

Regardless, I recently upgraded to an LG LS675 (Tribute 5), and have been very happy with it.  However, Boldbeast always fails to start a recording.  I've been through all of the "Record Mode" settings (all the rooted options, too), and they all fail the same way.  When I press the "Record" button, it tries to start recording (the Boldbeast icon appears in the notification area in white)...then it switches to red.  When the notification is tapped, a "Boldbeast Recorder" message box comes up reading, "Cannot record calls, please change 'Record Mode' in settings and try again.  (Note: you must uninstall all other recorder apps at first)"  There are no other call recorder apps installed on the phone.

Is there anything that I could provide (logs/system info/whatever) that would help with this?  As a programmer myself, I fully understand the need for specific details for any sort of bug tracking!  I will be happy to send you screenshots of anything necessary.

Please try to use these settings to record calls for your LG LS675:

- Record Mode: test 4 and 7
- Record Format: WAV
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3

How about it?

If it doesn't work well, please click the "Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Ask New Parameters" item in Boldbeast Recorder to send hardware log files to me, let me check them. Thanks.

I have the T-Mobile_metro PCs variant of this phone. Called the "k7" without "tribute" branding.

It appears to be a very hard phone to record. But I got it going. Here are the settings. Unfortunately you have to be on speakerphone, which reduces the app to the type that records on the mic only, functionally.

Anyway, its

Record mode:7
Group:3
Switch speaker setting: check box

Phone will now be speakerphone only but calls will be recorded loud and clear. If a superior method is found let me know please.

Thank you for sharing the information.

Both LG LS675 and LG LS675 Tribute 5 have the Qualcomm MSM8909 chip inside, generally setting the "Tune Audio Route" option to Group3 in the app can fix call recording problems. If it still doesn't work well I believe there is no solutions in the world without root, in this case you should root the phone, then Boldbeast Recorder has more powerful options available to fix the problem.

If you rooted your phone please use these settings to record calls:

- Record Mode: 1
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Change Audio Controls: Yes
- Change Audio Driver: No
- Start Input Stream: test Yes and No
