I checked the Moto X 2nd phone XT1092, XT1095 Android 6.0 ROM, the call recording feature is disabled by Motorola.
Unlike in Android 5.0, in Android 6.0 Motorola deleted a very important recording parameter from the ROM, as a result all recorders in the market are not able to record calls well without root. So you must root your phone to fix the problem.
After root please use these settings to record calls:
- Record Mode: 1
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Change Audio Controls: Yes
- Change Audio Driver: No
- Start Input Stream: test Yes and No
I checked XT1092 and XT1095 only, don't know if other Moto X 2nd Android 6.0 phones need root or not.
