1. Some users said Droid Turbo2 XT1585 doesn't need root, Boldbeast Recorder records calls very well in two sides.
Please use these settings to record calls:

- Record Mode: 1
- Record Format: MP4
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group1

2. Some users said the phone needs root, without root you can only record your voice, the caller's voice is very weak in recordings, no matter what recorder you are using. In this case please root your phone, then Boldbeast Recorder can fix the problem.
After root please use these settings to record calls:

- Record Mode: 1
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Change Audio Controls: Yes
- Change Audio Driver: No
- Start Input Stream: test Yes and No

Thank you for outlining the process of installing Boldbeast Recorder on a rooted Droid Turbo2 XT1585. However, can you actually root a Droid Turbo2 XT1585 yet? I don't think anyone has figured out how to do it yet. If you know or know of a link, I would greatly appreciate that!

There are more than 10000 Android phones so far, the root approach is different from phone to phone.
I don't have a XT1585 phone so I don't know how to root it, sorry.
