I have been testing some settings for my HTC M9.

Model: HTC One M9 (Denmark)
Android: 5.0.2
(Software: 1.40.401.8)
BoldBeast Pro 7.9 GP
Root: No

'Record mode' is described as 'Only one mode is working well' but I have 2 modes that seems to be working. I cant seem to find any differences - Are they both equal good, or is there something I should pay attention to?

The same with 'Tune Audio Route', all options (Group 1-3) seems to work equal good.

What is the best setting, and is it possible to get a more technical setting description? Differences on the modes and the 'Tune Audio Route'?

This is what I have been observing:

Mode 5: Ok
Mode 7: Ok

Not working:
Mode 1: Activates speaker
Mode 2: Not recording
Mode 3: Activates speaker
Mode 4: Not recording
Mode 6: Not recording

Mode 11: Activates speaker
Mode 12: Not recording
Mode 13: Not recording
Mode 14: Not recording

Tune Audio Route:
Disabled: Only my voice is recorded
Group1: Ok
Group2: Ok
Group3: Ok

HTC parameter:
Mode 1: Ok
Mode 2: Turns on speaker randomly from call to call.

Android itself supports call recording, but many manufacturers disabled this feature (in different ways) in their phones. Boldbeast Recorder provides many options to fix the problem, an option is related to a group of recording parameters used.

Usually there is only one Record Mode working well for a phone, but it's possible that some phones have more than one Record Modes working well, such as your HTC One M9.

According to your information, the best settings are:

- Record Mode: 5 or 7
- Tune Audio Route: Group1, Group2 or Group3
- Tune HTC Parameters: Group1

No root needed, it works well.

Update 1:

The following options seems to be working:

Mode 1: Ok
Mode 5: Ok
Mode 7: Ok

Tune Audio Route:
Group1: Ok
Group2: Ok
Group3: Ok

HTC parameter:
Mode 1: Ok
Mode 2: Ok

(The speaker activation happens when changing modes, but only ones. Just switch speaker back off)

If anyone notice any differences in the settings listed above, let me know.

Update 2:

There are still some problems with the speaker activation, and the volume stays high even if you try to turn it down, the indicator shows that the volume goes down, but nothing is happening.

It occurs in 1 out of approximately 20 (outgoing) calls. (Mode 1+5)

Mode 1: Speaker + Volume issue.
Mode 5: Volume issue (Speaker?)

Mode 7: No issues so far... (50+ test calls...)

I have HTC m9 europe with latest 5.1 (2.10 firmware ) .
