No root needed, it works well.
Some Galaxy Note4 has the bluetooth recording problem - when you connect a bluetooth device it can only record the caller's voice, your voice can't be recorded.
Boldbeast Recorder V7.3 or newer versions can fix the problem (need root). After root the phone, please use these settings to record calls:
- Record Mode: 4
- Tune Samsung 1: No
- Tune Samsung 2: No
- Tune Samsung 3: No
- Tune Audio Route: No
- Change Audio Controls: Yes
- Change Audio Driver: No
- Start Input Stream: No
Now bluetooth works well.
All Galaxy Note4 phones listed above (Qualcomm chip / Exynos 5433 chip) works well.
Galaxy Note4 Android 6.0
Galaxy Note4 Android 6.0 disabled the call recording feature, you must have found other recorders can only record your voice, the caller's voice is very weak. However Boldbeast Recorder can still record calls perfectly in two directions, no root needed.
Please use these settings to record calls:
- Record Mode: 1 or 5
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Tune Samsung1: No

Once again, All calls, recordings and uploads are working fine except when I use a Bluetooth headset – then I can only hear my voice but not the other party. This happens whether the call is incoming or outgoing.
As per your suggestions, we have set up the following settings in the app:
- Record Mode: 1 or 5 (have tried both)
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Tune Samsung1: No
- Tune Samsung2: No
- Tune Samsung3: No
. Call Settings -> Incoming Calls -> Auto Detect Answered State: Yes
. Call Settings -> Incoming Calls -> Auto Detect Max Time (Seconds): 100
. Call Settings -> Incoming Calls -> Restart Recording Upon Answered: Yes
. Call Settings -> Outgoing Calls -> Auto Detect Answered State: Yes
. Call Settings -> Outgoing Calls -> Auto Detect Max Time (Seconds): 15 (no root) 100 (root) – set to 15 as I would prefer not to root the phone
. Call Settings -> Outgoing Calls -> Restart Recording Upon Answered: Yes
If your phone has the bluetooth recording problem, no matter what recorder in the market you are using the problem will be always there, because the problem is in the ROM. You should root the phone then Boldbeast Recorder can fix it perfectly, without root you have no solution in the world for sure.
