LG V10 doesn't need root, Boldbeast Recorder records calls very well in two directions in following phones:

LG-H900    AT&T
LG-H950    AT&T
LG-H955    Global
LG-H960    Europe
LG-H961    Hong Kong
LG-H962    Taiwan
LG-H901    T-Mobile
LG-VS990  Verizon


Please use these settings to record calls:

- Record Mode: 1
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3

Both Android 5.1.1 and 6.0 work well.
